Perfect fit!
I’m replacing three old return air vents with these. They fit perfectly; only problem I had was one of them was missing the white-headed screws. I had to use screws I had on hand (not white), which disrupts the clean look.

Found the return air grille we needed!
Didn't have the air return grille at a local home improvement store in the size we needed. The outer dimension needed to be 15 1/4" (across)...not 15 3/4". So, I looked on Amazon and found the size we needed. Looks good. Fits the bill.

Drop in replacment for my 50+ year old vents.
My new-to-me home needed an update. My existing circulation/air return vents had 50 years of beatings and layers of paint on them. The other "cheap" vents were thin metal and didn't stand out from the wall the way that these do. I'm super happy. While I can feel the difference in the metal weight and thickness, these "look the part" better than what I had. I'm not disappointed in the quality or build. I will say that I'm keeping the originals and eventually have them sandblasted and powder coated. I do feel like I could dent these up more than the old ones. For a quick fix, these made me happy :)
