So far I have been impressed by the carplay unit. This unit has something that the other Chinese brands dont have. That is, there is an option to disable the annoying boot up chime. It seems they all run the same operating system. But some firmware have more options than others.This Volam unit has an option to disable the boot chime (**Sound Tips** under settings)

A fantastic option for a car that does not have CarPlay out of the factory

I am using the Volam Wireless Carplay Screen with my truck with the suction cup adapter. The display is wired to power via your 12-volt cigarette lighter port. A nice feature is that the power adapter provides a 5v 1amp USB-A port, in addition to the 5v 3amp USB-C jack that connects to the display. So, you “lose” a cigarette lighter port, but gain a USB-A port for general use, or more likely, for use charging your phone. The Volam Screen also allows your phone to connect to the display without running a USB cable from your phone to the display.The setup for this display could not be more straightforward. I verified that both Bluetooth and WiFi were turned-on on my phone and then connected to USB-C jack on the power adapter to the display and then plugged the adapter into the cigarette lighter port. The home screen for the display came up and I selected CarPlay. This brought up the Bluetooth Management screen, where I clicked on “BT Manage”, and selected the Bluetooth ID for the display, and then paired it with my iPhone. CarPlay then came up and I was able to select Map, Tunes, Phone, etc. The audio was playing from the display, so I went back to the display’s home screen and selected FM to configure FM connectivity. I found an unused frequency on my truck radio, and then set that frequency on the display. I was then able to play audio over my truck speakers. The AirPlay functionality was also operational at this point.The device is listed as Volam Wireless CarPlay Screen and I unfortunately had hoped this included a wireless backup camera connection, similar to WiFi cameras I’ve used. However, the backup camera is not wireless and includes a power and video cable that runs from the display to the camera. In addition, the cable also has a red wire that needs to be attached to the positive wire for your car’s backup lights, allowing the camera to operate when the car is put in reverse. The backup camera cable is a generous 24 feet, so it should easily reach from the dash to the back of almost any car without difficulty. However, I had hoped to attach the camera to the back of a trailer that I pull, but the length of the cable is not going to be sufficient for that task. The manual does mention something about an extension cable, but I’ve not yet found any additional information regarding that cable.The CarPlay and AirPlay features are great and warrant 5-stars. The unpacking videos show the backup camera in a package with a bundle of wire, but I am still disappointed that the backup camera is not wireless and am rating the product overall as 4-stars.

Easy installation and quick setup!!

The media could not be loaded.  Just wanted to try a cheaper one to see how well it worked before investing in a more pricey one.I haven’t tried streaming movie apps with it. I just need it to play my music. I’ll keep this one. Works for what I need. Just be sure to have a good station to connect fm for static free connection.

Everything works great with the carplay iPhone surprisingly screen is smooth with a touch screen.Extra is you can connect Bluetooth with the car for sound and screen with a map or caplay function. Aux, connection with screen sound was tickling

This CarPlay is almost perfect in terms of functionality and I have been using it for quite awhile and so far it works good. However there are functions on this CarPlay that is is not working. The reverse function makes you set it but reverse function is not really working. However, the camera on the back is always on on a split screen but if you will back off, the reverse function doesn’t work. On the 3rd pic,it show a split screen function and the CarPlay says it only function on an Android phone. But it actually works on an iphone as I was showing on the pic. Sometimes the Bluetooth doesn’t connect right away and I would spend a little time to connect to the Bluetooth If you use the suction cup to stick it on your windshield, with too much heat the suction cup comes off. The part that I really don’t like about this car play are the long and winding wires that was included in the box. Installing it is not so easy and not so complicated, because all tools you need is included in the box its just the long wires makes it looks messy in the front of my AC and console.

This car play is very user-friendly, with a fast connection speed to the phone, making it very convenient to use

The media could not be loaded.  Non è il primo dispositivo del genere che ho avuto, ma è di gran lunga il migliore sotto tutti i punti di vista!- Lo schermo è luminosissimo, ha un sensore di luminosità e ha la funzione giorno/notte per cui dopo una certa ora, settabile nelle impostazioni, il display riduce la retroilluminazione. Inoltre i colori sono vividi e ben tarati- l’accoppiamento con il telefono è velocissimo e stabile. Ho provato sia CarPlay che Android Auto e la connessione rimane perfetta durante tutta la guida senza alcuna incertezza- ha addirittura un trasmettitore FM integrato nel caricatore ad accendisigari, inoltre integra anche una presa USB-A con supporto per la ricarica rapida del telefono- il montaggio è semplice e rapido e la confezione include sia un supporto a ventosa che uno a farfalla, dando così la scelta di installare il pannello come meglio si credeIn sostanza è un prodotto che mi ha convinto tantissimo e lo consiglio a chiunque voglia aggiornare un infotainment datato e svecchiare il proprio veicolo!

Das Display ist kristallklar und sehr reaktionsschnell, was die Navigation und Medienwiedergabe zum Kinderspiel macht. Die Installation war einfach und der Bildschirm integriert sich nahtlos in das System meines Autos. Die Touch-Empfindlichkeit ist perfekt und die Benutzeroberfläche ist sehr benutzerfreundlich. Zudem fühlt sich die Verarbeitungsqualität robust und langlebig an. My car is an older model without any modern feature and this smart screen adds a lot of practicalities to it. Wireless connectivity picks up my phone quickly and I can still easily use my phone without worrying about pulling a cable. Backup display also gives me some extra confidence during parking. Size wise I like the height of screen, which does not block much of windshield view. A good budget choice.
