Very effective
For a cheap solution to keep out the cold with a single glazed windows. This is a really good choice. The double sided tape is okay but I chose to reinforce it with staples because it was just for a garage door. This might not happen to be convenient or ascetically pleasing inside the house And so the advice I would give is to really prepared the surfaces well or else use a more expensive double sided tape. The problem with a better double sided tape is that it then becomes very hard to reposition and stretch the plastic over the glass. This is a low-budget solution, but one that seems pretty effective, especially when the bubbles are removed with a hairdryer.

Good but the tape could be a bit better
This performed better than the similar stuff I got in Wickes a few years ago. The tape being stuck to one edge makes it a lot easier. Easy to cut and apply - I did it by myself about 30mins per window. Most wrinkles are gone after a blast with my normal hair dryer. It's super clear , I was impressed. The other one I had (that was more expensive) looked a lot wrinklier. The double sided tape isn't super sticky though and I wasted a lot having to redo it where it didn't stick - especially along the bottom, it didn't like sticking horizontally for some reason. On a plus this means it won't rip the paint off when I remove it (like the other one I had). Only been on a few days but already noticed a difference with temperature and condensation.

Hard Work but Worth It
This really did make a difference to our failing double glazed windows. Not just keeping the heat in but also blocking out a lot of sound. Putting the plastic on isn’t too bad but you must ensure that when you cut the roll you get straight edges, otherwise the next window is much harder. It’s magical the way it tightens when you use a hairdryer. Tight as a drum across some large windows in our case. We did a staircase double, a whole bay window of 12 windows and the window in our door and porch. Buying another for the bedrooms

Buy your own double sided tape!
The media could not be loaded. Have used a similar product before in another property and it stayed up until we removed it, it reduced the cold and did as promised.I bought this as the these windows are about to be replaced, but we have to get through winter first.. I’m sure the film is good, and will do its job, but the tape is c***, buy yourselves some superior double sided tape ( not difficult compared to the one supplied!)It was attached to painted hard wood frames., and the video was taken less than 30 mins after I had installed it, I took my time and followed the directions including advice on warming the frame as you position the tape, and it took me a while, and yes it was falling off…So unless you want to mess about, but decent tape or go to WICKES!

Double sided tape doesn’t stick. Butter has more sticking power!
It’s rubbish. The double sided tape needs to adhere to the surface. Draughty windows will be old and not made of pvc. Won’t stick to metal, wood or aluminium frames. Any cold surface and tape springs off. Without the tape sticking you can’t peel the tape and the plastic film wont hold. Waste of money.

Works as described
A great product, that allowed me to upgrade my single pane windows and now I have a chance to survive through the winter. I can see that many people rate this product below 4 or 5 stars because they are having issues with the taping. In my case, I didn't use any additional tape, I just properly prepared the surfaces using rubbing alcohol and thoroughly 'rolled' the tapes once applied, to let it stick to the surface firmly. Also, if it's too cold, it's worth preheating the surface with a hair dryer.Great product, highly recommended.

Good product for quick, easy and inexpensive window "double-glazing"
Fairly easy to install. Any minor wrinkles in the film disappear once you run a hair dry over it. This gives a really good flat finish that makes the film virtually invisible. Good product for quick, easy and inexpensive window "double-glazing". I think it made a difference this winter!

Good value and works if you are careful
Make sure everything is clean and dry. 2 people are better than one. Think about which way you will hang it depending on the size and shape of the window. Cut the plastic off the role as required give yourself an extra inch or two for leeway. Carefully unfold the plastic, it unfolds more than you think. 2 people will find it much easier to get off to a good start...top left usually. Start peeling the tape off and gently pressing the plastic onto it. It is quite fiddly and you may find your first attempts don't work because you get in a pickle with the tape or don't get the plastic straight enough or too tight or too slack. The role is big enough for a few attempts..for most windows. We had 1 mess doing 3 windows so used 4 bits...probably could do 3 or 4 more. Once you get the hang of it you can get pretty good results. Then you attack it with the hairdryer to get rid of most wrinkles..again a bit if an art..but can be mastered after practice! The tape was OK but sometimes we gave it a blast with hairdryer to make it more sticky or added another bit alongside. Trimming excess plastic is tricky I wouldn't bother unless it is a big bit.
