I just bought a new Silverado and needed a way to secure the things I leave in the bed. The Retrax Pro MX bed cover appears well made and looks very good. After watching a few installation videos on YouTube prior to delivery, the installation was pretty straight forward. The cover functions exactly as it should. I like that the cover can be locked in any position, from all the way to open to all the way closed and anywhere in between. I also like that the tail gate functions perfectly and seems to form a good seal with the cover. As far as being weather resistant, I can't say yet, as I only installed it yesterday.The only con is that the canister (the part where the cover rolls up into) does eat up some bed space but the security it offers if worth it in my opinion. In addition, there still is some storage space under the canister.This cover is expensive however, it is made in America and the material and workmanship are guaranteed for life. You get what you pay for.

Love about this cover:-Opens and closes easy. Just a gentle push and it rolls all the way up no problem.-High quality materials. Looks high quality and adds something to the truck.-Doesn't obstruct power tailgate. +-+- see bottom comment for help here!-Lifetime warranty!Don't love about this cover:-Not completely water sealed. Get water in the corner and a bit by the tailgate after going through car wash. It's pretty good, but not perfect.-Dust gets in pretty bad. Went romping in the dirt and there was a caked layer of dirt in the bed almost as bad as what was on the outside the truck. Not completely sure if it came in from the cover or the bed underneath, but either way, I had clothes in there and they were So Dirty!-Finicky install. I have a power assist tailgate and it took some serious tooling around and a call to the support for advice on how to get it to work. +-+-Ended up leaving more room at the back. In the instructions it says to use the supplied tool to measure distance. If I did this it was blocked. I had to close the tailgate and push the cover just up to it so the sealing lip pushed against it, but didn't go on top, and then it was all good.

So glad I went with the Retrax Pro. The all-metal slats are strong and the cover really looks good on my Denali. I had read some reviews that suggested that this tonneau would interfere with the multi-pro tailgate grab handle at the rear of the bed, but zero issues here. I cannot even see how there could be honestly, unless it was not installed properly I guess. If that is a concern you have keeping you from going with this cover, forget it. Installation was a breeze, might have taken me an hour and part of that was getting someone in the house to help me lift it into place into the bed (the cannister and rails get assembled and then placed in the truck bed). Without adjusting a thing, the cover slides open and closed effortlessly, so I was super impressed. The install instructions were actually good, but I verified them with an excellent YouTube video made by Real Truck. I highly recommend this tonneau if you are looking for a a retractable model.Amazon says this does not fit a 2021 Sierra Denali short bed, but it does fit. Amazon is incorrect.

Its a two person job, do not try to put it on by yourself. Once its on the truck it functions great looks awsome. Yes it does leak a little during heavy rain storms. The ability to roll up and have it stop at any place is awsome. Pricy it is

My husband installed this on our new truck for half the cost a local truck accessory place wanted to charge. I watched the youtube video and said this is TOO simple for that amount of money. Do yourself a favor if you're mechanically inclined, purchase and install it yourself.

I love the functionality. The roll top is cool, but wow, canister takes up a lot of space. I would not have purchased it without the t-rail availability. Have to get that space back somewhere.

Definitely not safe to do buy yourself without the potential of scratching your truck but once on the truck it’s easy to align and fasten to your truck. It’s not completely weather tight but slight leaks are livable. It’s my 3rd cover I’ve bought from Retrax on three different trucks. Will definitely buy again for my trucks in the future.
