A good, cost-effect mitre saw with a few small niggles.
As delivered, out of the box the saw was a little out of square and needed a few minutes of reading the manual and adjusting set screws to get it perfect. I've used it to cut 2x2 and 2x4 timber as well as fence boards and laminate flooring without problems. Cuts are a little rough with some tear-out as the supplied blade is quite aggressive, but it's fine for framing work for sheds/fences etc.Quite loud in use and the laser is useless/invisible outside but will probably be fine once I've got it set up in the shed.Hold-down clamp is a bit hit and miss; there's a technique to using it otherwise the rear post rides up higher and higher in it's socket with each cut unless you back the clamp off properly after each cut.The dust bag does help with collecting sawdust, but it's a mitre saw so it's never going to be dust-free in use.Has a good solid base, which means it's also quite heavy and the sliding rails and bevel adjuster give it quite a large footprint for storage, but that's going to be the same with every sliding saw in this price-range.

Well built, reasonably priced, good quality cuts
I'm currently doing a house renovation and purchased this mitre saw to assist with the works. So far I've only used the saw for skirting boards and shelves. I've had to do lots of 45 degree mitre cuts and scribe cuts. The saw has been exceptional. Clean cuts, the laser guide is extremely accurate contrary to some reviews I've seen, I didn't need to adjust the laser either, on delivery the laser was already correctly aligned. The saw is very well built and feels very durable. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic Chop Saw for DIY | Trade
Perfect for myself as DIYer but have seen trades using this, too. Dust bag is useless but who relies on these anyway? Anyone should be able to 'assemble' this. Good power. Not too heavy.

Keep your fingers well out of the way of the blade
What a first class piece of kit it is and very accurate I am well pleased with it and the price is affordable

flimsy safety guard, poor quality construction
I had hoped this might be a bargain buy (Black Friday) but as your head should tell you - if it looks too good to be true, it is!Worst is the design of the safety guard - it's held in place by just one self-tapping screw. It wobbles from side to side, and I can't understand how any reputable testing house would ever pass this as meeting CE / UKCA requirements (this me speaking as a product design engineer with 30 years experience). As others have said (should read the reviews first!) the basic design of it is poor and prone to failure. This might be ok on another product, but not a circular saw!The pointers showing where on the angle scales you are a plastic, held on with a single screw. You can move them by pressing on them with a finger - so that's your calibration goneThe general build quality is just about ok, but the recirculating ball slides are rough and it just doesn't feel like it will last very long at all.Lastly, in the manual is says the motor is rated for a max 5 minute run time before it overheats! So you'll be waiting for it to cool back down.... just pants really....Overall - AVOID and buy something else. I'm going to save my money towards a Makita unit, which I should have done in the first place

solid but noisy
for the price this is a most excellent tool. Easy to set up, and all settings seem to be accurate. The supplied blade is really this and good for rough cutting. Easy to change the blade for a finer one for precision work. the only small downside is that the motor kicks in with a big jerk and it is very noisy.
