Morovan Hard Gels LED/UV Builder Nail Gel Sculpting Extension Strengthen UV Art Manicure Set with Forms

I bought this product years ago and at this time, it has been a pain to do my nails. So I wanted to test a theory and buy a new, wondering if maybe old one went bad. Not sure if they changed the thickness of this product or not but holy cow was it thick. My old one is runny and easily messy as I was unable to work fast enough to prevent it from flooding my side walls. The new one I just tried yesterday on my nails was shocking. It stayed in place and I had to really push it around to get to cover my whole nail. Definitely need to practice more with it but the thickness saved me an additional 4 hours of doing my nails since I’m a huge perfectionist and will sit there until they look perfect to me. I see negative reviews on this product but honestly, I’d recommend it. I think hard gels in general are difficult to work with and I bought a high end brand and even that was difficult to work with. It’s all about practice. So don’t get discouraged with this product. Just keep practicing and eventually you’ll get better with it. And yes, it stays in my nails forever, mild chipping and hardens nicely. Give it a chance guys.

But I've seen reviews from top nail techs saying these are good and the clear gel dries the clearest out of other brands n give u a real crystal look.

This product isn’t working for me. When I first received it, I used it with my regular fold up led lamp that I use on a regular basis for both color and hard gel curing purposes. I applied an even coat, and tried curing it for 30 seconds, which usually hardens the product I apply to the nails somewhat, like at least 60-70% after which I just put it under for another round of 30 seconds. Not for this one. I tried curing it a grand total of 6 times (3 Minutes total !!3!!) only to see it is still extremely tacky and gloopy. I thought that maybe it was the slip layer that’s still tacky, and when I went to wipe it off it literally slid off like nothing.So I gave up and used another hard gel for that set.I came back to this later to try it out with the big guns, my 48 watt led lamp. Mind you- a 36 watt lamp should be more than sufficient to cure any uv/led nail resins, but a 48 watt lamp is just faster at curing in less time so you’re not exposed to more uv light than you need. EVEN AFTER the recommended 1-3 minute recommendation on the jar, the gel still doesn’t cure, remaining soft and pliable. I stirred up the jar just to see if maybe anything settled or separated, but same result.I don’t feel comfortable at all using this product. Guys, PSA!!! Your gel should always be fully cured to prevent the risk of developing contact dermatitis and/or other skin conditions!! Always use a strong uv lamp for at least a minute to make sure your color/builder gel is cured fully and properly! Don’t rush it to risk it.

I normally used IBD brand gel but decided to give this a try because it was decently priced. I have used other morovan products and no issues with the quality. I was expecting the color to be more clear pink like the IBD brand. This one is almost a dark pasty pink looking so not a fan of that but that’s my preference. The consistency was much thicker than IBD making the application not easy. It does not level itself however it’s very thick so you can control it. Overall not bad and I’d say it’s good enough to work with.

So far it applied on good. I don’t know about the hold yet. It’s a lot of product for the money.

I've been doing my own gel nails for about 2 years now, mostly full cover tips, rubber base. I know hard gel is a different product but the prep is still the same. Cuticle work, buff surface, dehydrate, primer.I have redone this nail set 2x, some of the nails even more. The gel itself is eay to work with. It's smooth. It's very good at self leveling. Doesn't flood the cuticle. I didn't find any issue with the cure time and it wipes clean with some alcohol. Crystal clear application. I appreciate they give you some alcohol wipes, the brush is collapsible, and the nail forms are okay.My problem is that the gel does not want to stay attached to the nails. I have tried with and without base coat. Thinner application. Flash curing before building up. The second I finish the set, I look down and there's lifting. On my middle finger i didnt even get to the next nail befkre it started to lift. Lifting can lead to moisture getting stuck under the nail and I know from experience that's not a fun time.I think the gel might be good to use for 3d art (I don't really do that so i cant say), but I wouldn't recommend buying it for your nails as j can't trust it. Now I'm going to have to go back in and remove the lifting from the nails I did yesterday. I MIGHT give it another chance with a different basecoat. Might. I'm pretty confident in my nail prep, none of my other products lift, especially this quickly. So I just don't know what's going on. Maybe I'll use it for practice.

I have been using this product for months now (maybe even a year?) and I'm impressed with it. It's a bit tricky to get the hang of initially (I had to watch a few YouTube videos on "How To Use Builder Gel"), but once you've got the hang of it, it's great!A few notes:- This is NOT a soak-off gel. No, not even with 100% acetone. You WILL have to file this completely off (which is a bit of a bummer).- I would strongly advise purchasing a nail drill if you're going to use this gel. It's the easiest way to file, shape and remove the nails. You will be sitting there all day trying to go at this with a nail file.- You WILL need a UV light to cure this, it does not dry on its own.- It is self-levelling which is helpful but if you move too slow, it will level all the way off of your nail bed, lol.- I would also advise giving your nails a break in between using this. When decided to take a break my nails were a bit damaged underneath. I suspect this is because this wasn't a soak off gel and I had to use the drill/nail file to get it off. So just be cognizant of that.Aside from those notes, it's a good alternative to save yourself some money and skip the nail salon. Worth every penny in that sense. I've pretty much got an entire nail salon set up at home for the cost of 1-2 visits to the actual salon.

Works great! I’m no professional but I’d say anyone complaining about the quality of this product is just experienced or has a sub par UV lamp to cure in.Easy to work with, cures quickly, looks great and all for a great price!

I love this gel! I either use it as a builder gel to lengthen my nails using paper forms or dual forms, or I use it on my natural nails to strengthen them. It will still feel a tad sticky after being fully cured, but if you wipe them with a nail wipe/rubbing alcohol on a pad it takes the stickiness away.Or, you can stick a no wipe top coat over it and cure that, then it’s not sticky anymore! Plus, a shiny top coat makes my natural nails look much more polished and healthy when I don’t have a coloured polish on. This tub will last you ages but I would definitely buy again!

I was unsure if to buy due to the mix reviews but I’m glad I did! The photo shows my first set using the Hard Gel. I used the pink shade which I have taken a photo of but then put some gel polish over. The pink shade is very very shear. Please see photo of the swatch! Definitely recommend buying the 3 colour combo (pink, white & clear) the white is lovely too, but that takes more practice as it can come out ‘patchy’ but I think that’s down to practice rather than the product.
