Helps kids that cant stay in a seat, stay in a seat
I am an administrator in an elementary school setting. We are always looking for new ideas to help kids that have problems sitting still in the classroom. Some kids simply can't sit in a seat for long periods of time and have to be able to move. It is so much easier to allow kids a form of movement in their chairs versus providing punishment for, "refuses to remain seated." These cushions are very effective for my school and many of our students. Yes, all of the students will want to try them out at one point or another, but honestly students that do not have issues with staying seated, lose interest very fast. On the other side, students that need to move never tire of these cushions. These cushions are made of a very thick rubbery material. They are not going to burst very easily and they do not take much inflation to get to proper fill. On one side of the cushion there are small nubs about a mm in length. On the other side, there are longer nubs that resemble the industrial rubber floor mats that you wipe your feet on. It was very nice that they included a hand pump and a needle with each cushion.I did not receive any type of discount, compensation, or products for writing this honest review. I think this product performs very well and want to pass the information along to others. Hopefully, other people will discover an effective way to help some students that truly need products like this to make it through a long seated day at school. If this review helped you, please click that it did.

Simple concept well executed!
I had an Altus disk previously. It seems to be discontinued. Conceptually, they appear the same, so here goes. After I broke my ankle I was very aggressive in trying to get ready for the following ski season. Phys. Therapy used a disk and a BOSU ball, and a few other apparati. I got the Altus disk and used it happily for six years. Grandchildren - those taking ballet and gymnastics and karate - all used it to good advantage: for balance, for strength, for fun. Then an elderly relative broke her ankle; same identical break/s I had: distal end of the long bones in the leg. So I gave her my disk and bought this one. It seems functionally identical but perhaps the diameter is a bit larger. No matter. Until the replacement arrived, the kids missed having it around, I missed the occasion walk-by exercise, and ... anyhow, the new one got here. I noticed some review comments addressed to sitting on it. I have done so: I keep it on a kitchen chair. It forces (gently encourages?!) improved posture. It is not a cure-all, but it will become my gift of choice for friends whose circumstances suggest it would be a good idea. All in all, very pleased. Now, if it blows up in a week or a month, I will return to update this review. But I have thus far had no problem with the inflation pump, the needle, or the disk itself. It is a simple concept well executed. What a concept! I wish these sorts of things were made domestically, but having everything seems not realistic.

6 year old is able to sit at the table through a meal for He first time in his life!
Awesome wiggle cushion! My 6 year old son (undiagnosed but suspected high functioning autism/sensory processing disorder, anxiety, ADHD) was having a hard time sitting in the seated position (since we can remember, even in high chairs as a baby he didn't tolerate more than a few minutes). Criss cross/Indian style was a nightmare for school and he would always sit for a minute or so in his chair at his desk or at our dining room table but within minutes be squatting like a caveman on his seat, hanging over the edge or choosing to stand. We excused it as ADHD until his OT evaluated him and found he has severe core muscle weakness (who would've thought!) and suggested this seat. Bought one for home and one for his classroom. The first time we tried it he sat at the table and ate his entire meal seated in the chair for the FIRST time in his life. He also sat on it criss cross on the floor and watched an entire cartoon without laying down/rolling around (this will be so helpful for his teacher during circle time). It provides the sensory input and ability to wiggle in one spot while training and strengthening the core muscles so he's able to eventually "sit still" for longer periods of time. Incredible product, can't believe such a "simple" solution could fix something we've struggled with for years. Just ordered a second one for school and a 3rd one for his 2 year old baby brother because "mom I want wiggle seat too!" Thanks Bintiva!
