Worked well for my purpose with minor caveats. Great value for the money.
I bought this specifically to check the rear 2 sunroof drains on my minivan that were blocked causing leaking into the cabin. Bottom line, this did the job. I was able to view the drain that was blocked, and get a narrow/mini drain-type snake (Harbor Freight item #60523) into the drain tube. I'm sure I'll find more uses for this going forward, particularly with auto repair. The Cons of this product (not deal breakers):1. The micro-USB did not fit my LG G3 well enough to stay connected, so I bought a USB 2.0 Micro USB Male to USB Female Host OTG Adapter (Note: Your phone must support OTG for the adapter to work). Even then it was still challenging at times to keep the connection to my LG G3, but I managed ok with the adapter. I almost switched over to using a laptop in which the full-size USB connector is much more secure.2. You must use something pretty sturdy to get the camera to go anywhere in a tight space. For me that was a wire hangar that I straightened out and attached with scotch tape. The Pros of this product:1. Gives reasonably good visibility in dark places with the LED lights surrounding the camera eye.2. This camera apparently works with a variety of apps, though I only used CameraFi for Android, which I'd seen referred to in other Amazon reviews.3. For $12.99 this is a steal if you can get it to work for your task versus traditional endoscopes which are typically 10 - 20 times more at least.

For the price this thing is awesome!
Worked exactly as advertised. The only drawbacks were the universal usb plug and the software. The micro-USB plug was fine, but it has a flip down adapter that is fairly cheaply constructed. It works, I just think it will fail with too much use.The software is overall all poorly designed, and freezes a lot.Overall, I would absolutely buy it again. For the price it's awesome and it was a lifesaver working on my truck!

$12 here or $99 at the Home D...improvement store
Really. Yes, 5 stars. IT'S A $12 ENDOSCOPE!! What do you want for $12?? The cable is a good USB cable. It is not a stiff, hold it's shape, control it remotely, military special ops cable. It's probably a little better than the cable that came with your phone. Remember $12? The camera focuses on long views as well as your thumb print that's almost against the lens. The LEDs light up the inside of a drain pipe, garbage disposal, and soda can. Running the camera through my son's hair was like a scene from Lord of the rings. Scalp, roots, giant bugs, everything (except the bugs. Not real.) If I never use it again it was sufficient to help me solve my plumbing problem without tearing out the wall and worked while submerged in water in my drain. Worth $12.Tips: Keep the lens clean. Use the screw on cover to keep some of the dust off. Walls are dirty, dusty, webby places. It may take a few forays into the darkness before you can get a good clear view of the object of your desires.-Have your phone open to your home screen when you plug the camera in. If it's not recognized, disconnect it from your phone then reconnect. No problem.-Just use the QR code in the manual to get the app software. It's nothing special, but it works fine.-If you're unhappy with the flexible cable, tape it to a stick. They're free and bendy ones can be found. If not, IM me. I'll send you one for $12. Remember, $12.

Great for the cost. Lacks refinement.
The USB ports are both a very tight fit into devices. Also the cable is just that and if you expect to snake this upwards good luck. I also found the diameter a little to large for my use and the length of the hard camera end way to long to snake into the area i need to see.

Worked surprisingly well - used with a Samsung Note 3
I was incredibly surprised with how well this worked. I hooked it up to my Note 3 and had no problems with it. It was a great help for fishing some Cat5 cable through my walls. I used some electrical tape to fasten it to a wire fishing stick so that it could go straight up a wall for 4 or 5 feet. Because it's a flexible cable, it didn't want to stand straight up without some help (which I expected). I keep this in my toolbox at all times now, just in case. Unfortunately, I also have to keep my Note 3 in there since I upgraded to a new phone that only has a USB C connection and I haven't been bothered to try and find an adapter. Very happy with this scope!

word of warning

A worthy contender!
I purchased the endoscope mostly as a gadget to have around just in case and found the unit to be very useful and easy to use. There is an app on Google Play Store to download for this camera and the app works well. I had what appeared to be a small leak behind my shower valve as the sheet rock wall was showing signs. I found this camera worked very well to locate the leak before I tore out the drywall. Keep in mind the camera is not meant to focus and pickup images from 10" away. It is used best at distances of 0-4 inches. Overall for the price the endoscope is made very well and the adjustable light wheel helps control the lighting. I would recommend this to others.

Look what I found!
This is my very first endoscope. There have been many times where I needed to search for something hidden behind an appliance or other fixture and struggled, using my phone as the camera. Now, with this DBPOWER 7mm Android Endoscope I'm able to drop down the wire up to 3 meters to find what I'm looking for. It also has 6 led lights at the end of it to illuminate whatever it is that I'm searching for. It was extremely easy to set up. I downloaded the recommended app and then plugged the endoscope into my phone. Immediately, it started working and I have been using it all around ny house. And I must say...it's a lot of fun too!
