Good alternative to Pre-cut versions of filters
I have been using this item for 6 years and found that it is the best replacement for the original. By buying the large piece of material it allows for the cutting to match both of my air cleaners. Easy yo cut and it fits just like the pre made versions.

Great stuff. Cut to fit for compost bins, air purifiers, etc.
We have one of those steel compost bins in the kitchen. Every once in a while it needs a new carbon filter in the lid. You can generally find pre-cut carbon filters that will fit the lid, but they are a little expensive. We also have stove hood filters that use a stainless steel mesh filter, but do little to alleviate the smells of cooking.With this large 16"x48" carbon filter sheet, I was able to cut several round replacement filters for our compost bin (and a couple of extras for the in-laws), plus carbon filters for our stove hood. And I still had enough leftover for a replacement carbon filter for our Fellowes air purifier. The material cuts easily with a decent pair of scissors and does a good job preventing and removing odors.

Convenient charcoal fabric
I have an old air cleaner, no filters available. This carbon fabric lets me cut the size it needs. I keep the rest sealed to prevent deactivation.

Of Course, You Need to Cut to Size
My rating of "5" for "Easy to Install" may seem nonsense for some readers. However, this is, by definition, a "Cut-to-size" product. You really need to cut it to size and install (And there is nothing wrong with it).The original charcoal filter for my microwave oven is a joke. It probably covers 20% of the air outlet (If that). And that is, by design, installed at the outlet level.So what did I do? I cut this one to size and installed underneath the microwave (On top of the stove cooktop). So, this one filters the odour right at the inlet level. Cooking meat or even spicy stuff like Sucuk (You can search and see what it is) does not result in fumes and odour in the kitchen / living room area.Highly recommended.

Does the job if you douuble or triple it up.
This filter pad is more rigid than others, which isn't a bad thing, just know that it's fairly thin. I had to use 2-3 layers of it for my intended application. I've used this for both aquariums (2 layers) and air filters for a cat litter box (3 layers) with decent success. (FYI, I use this for a pre filter and can not attest to the quality of odor absorbtion and I use other media for that.
