Awsome alternative when more traditional MA shoes are not an option or just too heavy.
As I've aged through ~40 years of Taekwondo I've picked up a few scars including a pair of torn menisci. These shoes have just enough traction for almost ever technique I practice but enough glide to be gentle on the 35 year old tears that I'd really rather not have surgery on. My bare feet and rubber soled shoes had a bit too much grip on the mats in my current training space and I was about to replace them all with something less sticky. These shoes made the difference and were far more cost effective. I liked the first pair so much I ordered 5 more, just in case....The only change I'd like to see is a thicker tighter elastic band around the ankle because on really cold days (my space is unheated) I add thin socks and the shoes slide down just a bit. Totally minor thing and definitely nothing to reduce my 5 star rating, as I said, I now own 6 pair...

Interesting shoe (or is it a sock?)
These run small, buy a size up.They are comfortable, and have a good balance between grip and slip (be a little careful when stretching for side splits if you can’t go all the way down as these will slide a little more then barefoot in that scenario. Grip for kicks is very good, I haven’t felt any excessive slip (nor excessive grip) there, even on spinning/turning kicks). I use these for taekwondo and kummooyeh on mats with texture/grip that were causing small tears in my skin, these prevent that. These are as close to barefoot as you will get with a shoe, you don't lose anything like you do with a traditional martial arts shoe.I also have fairly wide feet and these stretch to fit very well (most martial arts shoes pinch in the toes a lot for me).I dont know how long these will last, I have used them for about a dozen sessions and they are holding up fine so far. I think the bottom material will likely wear over several dozen sessions as there isnt a ton of material there. There is some reinforcement on the primary pivot point which will help.

Comfortable and great for wearing at the mat
I liked how light and comfortable this are, maybe the durability will be an issue, the borders are a bit fragile where it has to he sewings

Cool stuff, but after 2 orders still can't figure out on sizes.
Cool stuff, but after 2 orders still can't figure out on sizes. Not corresponds with US sizes. Other than that looks very comfortable. Return both orders.

Just enough grip
They wear like socks and don't get too hot during warmups and exercise. They provide just enough grip for stability but still allow you to slide your feet for Martial Arts forms and moves. I wish they came in black too but overall they've been a good purchase.

Not worth the price
Basically a pair of socks with a sole sewed on.
